It works well and isn't that bad in price. Your average protein powder is 30-40 bucks for around 30 servings.

That's about a dollar per serving and considering it can be used as a meal replacement you're good.

First of all, chicken breast is nothing more than protein as well. There's practically no difference other than whey actually has a better amino acid profile as well as it's faster digesting. Faster digesting proteins are shown to be more effective in muscle building (protein synthesis) than slow ones, which is why hydrolyzed whey is at the top of the list for ideal proteins.
