What's the next piece of home gym equipment you plan to buy?
For me its a new bar, to replace the hand me down, Chinese, joke knurling, 30 pound (my lifts were a lie!) piece of crap I use now. (It probably won't be a $1k Eleiko.)

Bought my equipment recently. Still waiting for it to arrive though. And my father built me a squat rack (stand actually, but with spotter arms and stuff).
Bar is pic related. 4 needle bearings + bronze bushings on each side.

I would imagine it's also not as strong. The bar he currently has probably bends quite a bit, which can induce a permanent bend over time - the 10 kg bar at my gym was permanently bent because some idiot did heavy deads with it for some reason.
The straps on my gym rings broke, so I need to go buy new straps.
Does anyone have any ideas what weight these dumbbells might be?

If the plates don't spin they create momentum against you for the olympic lifts
A good knurling helps with your grip
Good quality steel keeps the bar from getting permanently bent simply from adding weight to it (it will still bend permanently if you do stupid stuff)
A bent bar can be quite a nuisance to handle, and be detrimental if you don't pay attention to where the bend is arching before starting the set.
Whipping is related more to the diameter of the bar.
Thicker = less whip
Thinner = more whip
The whip helps with deadlifts and olympic lifts, but it can be annoying for squats and bench pressing

A single good bar is enough for most purposes.
Some powerlifters like to have a thicker bar for squats and bench and a thinner one for deadlifts. But most will train all three lifts with a regular bar.

Weightlifter want a springy bar that will bow and store energy (frowny face) early in the pull, then spring up (happy face) and help you carry the weight up.
Powerliftings want a stiff bar that won't bow and whip very much at all, because powerlifters move the bar slower so any movement in the bar would just throw you off.
This is most important in competition, but it also applies to non competitive lifters doing power cleans vs deadlift.

If you're american, Rogue's are probably the best for the buck at that price range. I'd get the ohio instead of the rogue 2.0 if you can.
Alternatively, you can look into buying used Eleiko bars. As long as they're straight you'll be good. Of if you really wanna save money, just buy used Pendlay / Ohio bars.
