I used to f squat 2pl8 atg no problem, but injured my back and went back to low bar b squat only. I've since switched to high bar with lifting shoes and can atg most days no problem.
I've hit 355lbs just below parallel as a recent max.
I try to f squat every now and again, but I get crazy lumbar flexion (rounding outwards) and pain in my lower back whenever I even approach parallel.
I can't do full cleans because of this. I pretty much only do power hang cleans.
What's causing this? Glute tightness?

I pretty much only do sdls and I warmup with good mornings with the bar every time I lift. Don't do a lot of core work, never have.
I can bw squat parallel no problem, can't atg bw squat though. My physical therapist had me work on that a bit to make sure I was doing it well.

I finally got back into weightlifting and cleaned 100kg for my first clean day. I'll try to jerk it too by next week after I get my jerks up to par.

This post is actually going nowhere I just felt proud of that and felt like blogging.

On a side note: how do I get under the bar faster during snatches? I had my snatches filmed and it seems I'm way too slow to get under the bar. It was my first snatch day in months but still. I was thinking of doing hip snatches for that reason.

I see people talk about 'Chinese style' in context of technique alot. 'Chinese pull' etc. And the vague stuff ma strength talks about

A lot of people also seem to think lu's no foot snatch style is China style... But watch Chinese nats and you see variation in pull, in feet leavib floor etc so it can't be this

So, can anyone break down to me the differences in Chinese and Russian/European technique? Cos to my mind they're lifters from both side that lift the same and there's as much variation as each other too

Fellas I live out in buttfuck nowhere West Virginia, and I can't find shit for show on Craigslist in the weight of 2inch freeweights.

I'm trying to get at least 230+ lbs and maybe a bench so I'm not stuck with standing presses, front squats (neck don't like me) and deadlifts.

I have a really hard time progressing in squats. I went like 5kg up in one month im squatting paused 5x5 115kg now. Besides this my front squat remained exactly the same

Ive been also accassionly deadlifting and my deadlift went from 200kg to 220kg in this same period it doesnt fucking make any sense

I don't think relative intensities are supposed to be much different, but yes heavier weight classes should do less volume because they are working at greater absolute intensities and because their bodies tend to recover more slowly, for reasons.

I tried my hand at "Olympic Lifting" for the first time today. I can rep 225 on bench, 135 ohp, and 315 on DL.

I can hang clean 135 fairly easily, just using my arms, not even my legs. I tried practicing full cleans with 95 but it was so easy to move with my arms that it's messing up my technique. I'm scared to go heavier in that I might get under the weight in the wrong position and hurt my shoulders. What do I do?

I also held the bar above my head in bottom position of a snatch for 30 second intervals and it fucking wore my shoulders out. How am I so God damn weak? Should I just sudoku now and give up?

if you look at the quads of powerlifters their quads will look huge tumor like near the hip but non existant near the knee

Guys when doing snatch sots press i got bad internal rotation in my right arm, what do i need to work on, internal rotations? I also think this is due to fapping which is causeing too much external rotation.


Also Sotts is pretty got tier for pointing out mobility issues.
