The lifting and good eating is really for your own benefit, aesthetics are neat but it's all about quality of life and longevity, not having the typical problems people develop that they always attribute to mere aging.
As for mental, it's important to take inventory and resolve your issues because how you think, behave, respond always affects your interactions with people and who you attract.
