For calculating my TDEE, does lifting weights 3 times a week and doing cardio 2 count as exercising 3-5 days a week? I don't know if its a mental thing but after lifting I don't feel like I've put in that much effort in and so it doesn't feel like I'm burning too much calories.

I got one for this thread. I used to be able, a few weeks ago, keep up in my pt runs and exercises with the much younger cadets. Now I seem to be lagging behind, getting shin splints, and not dropping any weight.

Have I platau'd and if so how do I break it? More exercise - harder instensity? (Run more or run harder)

How do I deal with the shin splints?

Am I actually getting worse, is it age? I'm 27 and these kids are highschool - before I could keep up. Now it seems like it's catch up.

With regards to shin splints, get yourself tested at a physiotherapist. It might be due to over/under pronation and you might need insoles/better shoes. I would advice against running harder/more until after fixing shin splints. When that is fixed, try coming back very calmly (don't go running 10k in your first run back from shin splints), and build up from there.
I'm currently reading Shin Splint Solutions, which you can download for free on google. Might be useful for you as well.

why am I not losing weight. I count all my calories using mfp and the use of a scale. I'm getting in about 1400/1500 kcal at the moment. according to iifym tdee calculator:

Your TDEE is: 2148 Calories/Day

so I would be around 300 kcals under my bmr, and about 650 under my TDEE. Why am I not losing fat, or even weight?

I'm 176cm and 78kgs about 20% bodyfat and want to burn as much fat as I can.
I'm an intern at an office at the moment, so i'm pretty much sedentary at office hours, and I work out three times a week for about 1 and a half hours.
At first (about 6 weeks ago) I lost some weight, about nearly a kilo (let's say 0,8) in two weeks. I thought okay nice, but after that my weight has been fairly constant around 78 kilos.

Any help or tips ?
