to add to that, skinnyfag currently escaping skelemode. Bench was approx 90lbs 9 months ago. Just gotta keep growing at a good pace and Ill be at 225 5x5 in another year or so.

Speaking from experiance (same levels of strenght 3-4 months ago):
Don't go above 2pl8.
If you can do 7-8 reps with 2pl8, go down to 180 and do slow, controlled, paused sets of 12.
And I mean controlled eccentric, breath at the top, breath out only when arms are locked - the full IPF experiance bench press.

Also do an over warm-up - if your max is 270, work up as quickly as possible to a triple with 225 , a single with 250 and then start to do 4-5 sets of 12 with 180.

After 2 months of that shit, go up to 200, if you can do them for an easy 12, you can try for a 290 single at the end of your normal over warm up. And if you can double that, load up 3pl8. Why not? It's just a fucking warm up.

Im 6'1 and i have ridicilous long arms. I can deadlift 5.5pl8 for 1 but my bench max is 3pl8 for 1. If only i would enjoy deadlifting i could reach manly weights.
