There is a funny thing about this shampoo brand that if you use it for long periods of time and then switch to any other brand, you 100% of the time end up with dandruff which is only stopped if you go back to H&S. It's shitty because I'm forced to use it for life, else my whole scalp itchs all the time and gets sore.
Try switching up your shampoos. Look for the ones that are specifically made for dry scalp.
Worse off, go see a dermatologist. It could be seborrheic dermatitis

I might do this. Been using anti-dandruff shampoo for years and it never went away. Didn't really think it might have been something else.

Take a shower but do not wash your hair. Afterwards, heat up a small amount of extra virgin olive oil in the microwave. Rub it into every part of your scalp, and make sure you hit your roots. Wrap your head with a towel overnight, and shampoo in the morning. Repeat once a week. You're welcome.

The guy's right OP, that's not dandruff it's dry scalp. Wash your hair and scalp with cold water and shampoo twice a week MAX. You should see a difference in 2-4 weeks.
