0-3 - Woman-tier. Does not and never has lifted, most likely spends most of his time complaining about fat shaming, white privilege and not being able to find a job.

3-5 - Pathetic-tier. Likes to occasionally (once a month) do a set of push ups or pull ups to reassure himself he's 'in shape', while the rest of his time is spent playing video games.

5-8 - DYEL-tier. Better than the last two, has put some effort into his pull ups, but does not have the numbers or size to impress anyone. Women are surprised when he says he 'works out'.

8-12 - Decent-tier. Congratulations, if you are in this range you are reasonably fit. Most people will still probably question if you lift but at least you can prove them wrong when they see you do 10 pull ups.

12 - 14 - Good-tier. You hold yourself well and have the numbers to impress novice lifters and normies. Girls may notice that you have a better than average body and men are more likely to respect you.

15+ - MAN-tier. Once you have reached this limit you will look noticeably good without clothes on and girls will be attracted to your aesthetic v-taper. Doing 15+ pull ups at the gym or anywhere will get you significant complements. You have made it.

Slow negatives. Jump up or step on something so you can start the chinup at the top. Lower yourself as slowly as you can manage. Repeat. Do this until you can do 1-2. Then either do a few sets at a time or just do one set every time you pass your bar in the day.

pullups are a great exercise but talking about them is always a laugh. People treat it like a dick measuring contest and e-stat crazy. Another limiting factor is the fact that most people think they have good form when in reality barely one out of ten people doing pullups will be using slow deliberate tempo and good form with good scapula positioning. The vast majority of pullups you'll see at gyms or parks are past failure before they even begin and are done kipping without the chin clearing the bar and the grimaces involved would make you think the guy doing the exercise is giving birth to an adult sized elephant through his asshole.

From what weight did you go up 12kgs? If you were really light and just added your beginning muscle you should actually be able to do more pullups with the higher bodyweight.

actually you dont need much muscle mass to be good at pullups.its all about upper body muscle to bodyweight ratio and you can see skinny chinks doing 20 pinky pullups on youtube for this reason.i went from 62 to 74 to answer your question.

But odds are you wouldn't be doing 5 pullups at 90kg with 20kg added. Relative strength favours the littler guy unless there's a big discrepancy in talent/training age.

Symmetricstrength.com has the only strength standards on chinups and pullups I have found.
Here are 2 examples, what do you think?

My opinion is that the 100kg one is relatively stronger but I wouldn't know.
