Are there any protein bars that are actually good for you. Been enjoying the Smore's pure protein bars, but I fell like the ingredient list is way too long and they taste way too good to really be nutritious

Quest bars.

>>36830870
Except they taste like literal dirt.
people here like quest and when I tried one I have to agree. tastes fine, but without nearly all the sugar you get in other bars
>>36830890
Can't you only buy them one by one and aren't they also super expensive?
>>36830328
I probably eat 1-2 of the peanut butter pure protein bars a day. I'm bulking so I don't give a fuck about the sugar or whatever is in the pure protein bars. Their macros are pretty damn good and they taste awesome. They are also much cheaper than quest bars. Good enough for me.
Bumping to find out more about what /fit/ thinks of the pure protein bars.

The regular chocolate chip cookie dough tastes better than anything else I've tried (admittedly not that many others, only low carb bars). They have like a million other flavors though, most of them are pretty good.

You can order boxes from their website and supposedly they sell them at the bulk stores (Sam's, Costco, HEB, others probably in other states) but you just pay single bar cost times however many are in a box, so yeah they're pretty expensive

THANK YOU. Been trying to remember the name of this shit for awhile, been bugging me.
>>36830328

>>36830328
Want healthy quick protein snack? Buy some damn nuts.
>>36830870
This.
>>36830878
Go eat a chocolate bar then, he asked healthiest not tastiest.

Quest bars are the best tasting, but they are like $1 more per bar than Pure Protein. (not a poorfag just a cheapfag)
>Quest S'more Bar
>Calories=180
>Fat=8g
>Carb=23g
>Fiber=13g
>Sugar=1g
>Protein=20g
>Pure Protein Chewy Chocolate Chip
>Calories=200
>Fat=5g
>Carb=18g
>Fiber=2g
>Sugar=3g
>Protein=20g
Not a huge difference, except fiber, and for a dollar less per bar I'll take the Pure Protein. Also, check Amazon for some decent bulk deals on both brands

How does it have more calories with less fat and less carbs but the same protein?
>>36830328
I get Pure Protein bars also because they're at Publix when I shop.
Unlike you, I don't have a mental illness, and can fathom that they can taste good and provide good protein with low calories.
>>36831391
>Want healthy quick protein snack? Buy some damn nuts.
>>36830328
I'm using the PHD peanut butter flapjacks for post TKD training. Ok taste, I may try Quest bars in the future but they're kinda pricey.
>>36831886
Good question. I have no idea. I just typed what the packages say
>>36830328
>tfw stupid severe cashew allergy
Every fucking protein bar is processed in the same facility as tree nuts.
Almost died the last time I ate a protein bar, but to be fair, there were ground cashews in the ingredients and I didn't look. All the other flavors of the brand were cashew free.
>>36830832
These taste like ass but they're pretty good
I've been buying these because I'm too lazy to make my own and they're fucking delicious.
I'll have one after lifting alongside a bottle of chocolate milk.
>>36832011
What's wrong with nuts? They're full of brotons and good fats. Nuts are fucking awesome (bulking) food.
>>36832111
That must suck bro, cashews are delicious
>>36832215
Low fat, high carb and high-moderate protein master race.
>>36832294
I know. I remember gobbling down an entire tin when I was little, and then being bolted to the ER.
But they're evil nuts of death to me.
Anyone know of some nut free brands?
Or am I just going to have to make shitty homemade ones for long car trips?

Cliff builder bars are my favorite, they are also pretty affordable if you buy them at costco like a dollar per bar.
>>36832365
>cliff bars
enjoy your diabetes
>>36832348
I will dedicate my life to creating synthetic allergen-free cashews for you
>>36832392
I would love you.
I've been eating ostrim beef and elk protein sticks. they're like 90 calories with 16g of protein. big too. I get then for 1.33 a stick. sweet and spicy is really tasty
why not make your own? can't be hard and you'd be able to manage what goes into it
>>36832215
>>36831391
Nuts taste like shit and have the texture of ass
I only eat that when ur mom is in town
>>36832133
>These taste like ass but they're pretty good.
