This is what happens when you don't work on your upper body, which is the case with the core starting strength routine. You can avoid this adding accessories like the fucking book says, and not doing SS more than 8 months.

For most people the lower body needs the most stretching because of all the sitting we do. For that you can do ho flexor stretch, foam roll hamstrings, ankle/calve stretch, and foam roll quads or just stretch them. You can also do glute bridges if you have anterior pelvic tilt, or low back stretch if you have tightness there (aka the fuck me in the ass stretch). I personally have never had any tightness in my upper body.

SS includes bench though? Doesn't it include OHP too?

I know it has guys squatting like 4 fucking days a week or something like that.

He did no accessories and ate way too much. It doesn't mean the core of SS is bad, but if you want to look good you have to do small adjustments.

The book is amazing and is BY FAR the best material to learn form anywhere. Nothing comes close.

It also only has you deadlifting once a week past the rank novice phase and squatting significantly more than any other routine out there. It's also incredibly slimmed down compared to the other routines that came before it.
