estimates by the eye. if you are on /fit/ for a few months, you can do it accurately

Unless you get an entire professional body scan or dunk tank, you're estimating. Calipers and such can be extremely inaccurate

Even then you can never get a true value as your weight always fluctuates.
trying to get an accurate number is futile, and even if you did get an accurate number it would be pointless for comparison because all the numbers you see on the internet are highly inaccurate.
i use a scale, its not 100% acurate but give or take 3% its good enough for me, better than just eyeballin it

Pretty happy with my percentage, as I was 25% about a year and a half ago.
I want to get to 12% but I like beer way too much. Oh well.

I generally just do it by eye, but you can use some fat calipers and do it that way.
Pic related is 14%, had it officially tested in a BOD POD or whatever the fuck it was called (air displacement method)
I just use a binary scale of whether or not abs are visible. If not then I'm too fat and need to cut.
