Quick question:

Does a pull-up count if I'm not dead-hanging into it? I start with feet firmly on the ground but with elbows and arms straight up/without any bend and can easily pull myself up. But on the way down, I can't pull myself back up unless I go back to the starting position with both feet on the ground.

Start with jumping push ups, and gradually hold yourself up longer and longer while you're above the bar. Then gradually jump less and use your arms to pull yourself up more. Eventually you'll be able to lift yourself up. I can do a few now after about 3 months

if theres an assisted pullup machine at your gym try that. otherwise try to do negatives, and if you cant do that, then just work on general back/bicep exercises

5x5-8 weighted pull ups 50 lb

3x10-15 slow wide grip pull ups bodyweight

i'm probably 154lb in weight and 5'5 in height

I want to create a /fit/ mansion with luxury kitchen and gym facilities, a huge library, and an enormous garden for manlets. All with individual bedrooms and toilet facilities where the manlets can work hard, and visit the library for mental gains, whilst contributing an insignificant amount of rent for the upkeep of the property. I'd provide basic fruit and vegetables but that would be it. The garden would be full of produce that the manlets would grow, and learn to be self-sufficient and both frugal and efficient with their money.

All that would needed is some savings to cover rent for at least a year or so and then I'd subsidise it from earnings from the property that sells surplus electricity from renewables and from any extra produce sold from the stuff grown on the property.
