I finally benched 180lbs. I've been benching 90lbs for 5 months since I started. Finally feel like I'm getting there and want to share the experience

I think this is the most motivated I've ever been to lift
I hit a new PR of a 175x5 DL about 20 minutes ago.
It's not much compared to a lot of you here, but I'm proud of it.
I keep going up every DL-day too, I'm both excited and scared to see where my stall point will be. I feel I can push to a 200x5 over the next week or so, the 175x5 wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
If I hit 225x5 in the next two weeks then I will have accomplished 1pl8 & 2pl8 within 30 days.

I stopped flat benching and did decline + incline for just a few weeks. Went back and broke a flat bench plateau and then progressed 5 lb/week for the next month. Have done 245 currently as max.

Hit a 450 axle deadlift.
This bodes well for the possibility of a 500lb regular deadlift in the near future. Pity I'm not good at anything else.

I finally got back in to the gym after a 5 year break and started lifting again this January. I've put 60lbs on my bench since then (155 -> 215)

Everyone starts somewhere and it takes time to get where you want (or at least closer to it). Ain't like most people start out pulling 5plate or benching 2late. Most of /fit/ probably still doesn't.

FINALLY hit lmao2pl8 on bench yesterday. Had to stop myself walking around whistling like an idiot for the rest of the workout.
Bonus: Had a qt amazonian for a spotter.

I hit a 240 bench recently
And something I'm more proud of: I cut things off with a really old/formerly close friend because she was a total parasite in my life. It hurts, but I'm glad I'm not afraid to do it
