/fit/izens, I don't usually lurk here but I've recently broken out from a cicle of depression and wanted to take up running to stop being a fatty
but the thing is I don't really know how effective that would be or how much time would I have to give to an activity like that
main problem I have with the guides is I can't diet like everyone else because I have tons of allergies (things as common as veggies, mayo or some sauces and spices are a no no) though I can eat most meats (chicken, fish, etc)

My best advice would be to do the couch to 5k (google it) and go from there. Cardio is your friend when it comes to losing weight.
Also download myfitnesspal and track your caloric intake (i.e. eat less)
