I'd have some variation(amount of sets/reps, different variations etc) between days to avoid staleness. The point is just to accumulate fatigue while working on form. Specific set/rep schemes doesn't matter that much as long as you're not going too light.

I do, but upping VD by 5-10 lbs after upping ID by 10 lbs instead of 5 is quite difficult. I don't think I got enough sleep or ate enough either tbqh.
