Have i been memed?

I couldn't find ZMA so i just bought this shit. Don't i need magnesium or something to absorb it properly?
>>
>50mg

enjoy your nausea and heart palpations
>>
>>36765620
Nigga fo real? I take zinc chelate 50 mg n I never experienced that shit except when I take it on an empty stomach. Just the nausea part though
>>
50mg is like 160% DV dose but you'll be fine. Take it right before bed though that dose will hit you like a ton of bricks.
>>
>>36765620
>at 50mg

yeah maybe if you're like 4 foot
>>
>>36765650
Shit, i have class in 2 hours.. what will it feel like, if anything? The most I've ever taken is like 25mg that was included in a multivitamin.

I took it like an hour and a half ago

>nausea

don't take zinc on an empty stomach

50mg isn't even a particularly large dose of zinc though ideally you'd want to balance it with some copper as zinc/copper compete for the same enzymatic pathways
>>
>>36765644
nah that dude is a retard or a weakling, 50mg is fine

Depends on what compound is used. Unless the label specifies it's 50mg ELEMENTAL zinc, it's not 50mg "true" zinc. Different compounds (like sulfate, gluconate, citrate and so on) have different bio availability. It's pretty stupid because your zinc or ZMA supplement can have way less zinc than you think.

This is the one I use. It's 100mg zinc citrate, but 30mg elemental as the label specifies.
It also has copper because your body needs a balance of both.
>>
>>36765719
OP here, guess ill need to go buy some copper supplement?

Fucking hell

The jews are laughing at me right now
>>
>>36765984
relax man it's not urgent, a copper deficiency from zinc overload would take months to manifest and even then it might not be noticeable

just make a note the next time you pick up a zinc supplement to get one that has some copper added to it
>>
>>36765597

is it oxide? if so it is garbage. you want aspartate
>>
>>36766436
Aspartate? Shit.

OP you want Pentane
>>
>>36766478

is it that much better?
>>
>>36766507
Maybe if you want sub-optimal results.

Get Zinc Octate if you want something that the body can actually absorb.
>>
>>36766538

can't i just get a syringe and some liquid zma?
>>
What about Zinc bisglycinate?

How does this rate in the grand scheme of things and what is the difference between all of these different types of zinc?

Bottle says "Zinc Amino-acid Chelate Tablet" (translated to English) and ingredients lists Zinc bisglycinate..
>>
>>36766436
zinc rigatoni is actually the best form
>>
>>36766589

straight up buccatini
>>
>>36766573
>bisglycinate

Awful. A poor man's zinc glutarate.
>>
Holy shit i feel extra Alpha all of a sudden

I like it

I dont give a shit if it's a placebo either

you are all literally retarded

Zinc Phosphate stacked with magnesium oxide and a large dose of Vitamin K will get him the best results.

OP don't listen to those idiots.

I've been taking ZMA for about a month now and haven't noticed any difference in anything.
>>
>>36767117
>large doses of Vitamin K

Hasn't /fit/ sent a kid to the hospital with this?
>>
>>36768506
I think it's just a legend. Vitamin K isn't toxic even in megadoses.
>>
>>36767117
>magnesium oxide
why not pour that into the toilet directly?
>>
>>36768506
>MOM CALL THE DOCTOR I'M DYING
>>
>>36768541
Vitamin K is a blood thinner, so yeah it can be super bad if you over do it.

>>36768444
ZMA isn't itself any sort of magic bullet, but I definitely feel better when I supp Zinc and this seems like as good a way to do it as any. I think I sleep better and have gotten more intense dreams.
>>
>>36768767
This.

Magnesium Hydrogen-Carbonate is far superior.
>>
>>36768949
I guess you meant magnesium citrate, although I guess gluconate would have an even better absorption but shit last biochem I had was 5 years ago
>>
>>36765789

Isn't 100mg zinc per day too much? You take one of those every day?
>>
>>36765656
Most of /fit/ is 4'.
>>
>>36769021
>Magnesium Citrate

Nowhere near as bioavailible as Magnesium Peroxide
>>
ITT:
Literal retards who think supplementing works instead of eating well and not bothering with buying overpriced underdosed, poorly absorbed supplements
>>
>>36769189
> implying it doesnt work

Explain my 50% increase of jizz when fapping
>>
ZMA is bullshit. Bioavailability is mostly the same. Some are larger compounds, therefor giving less zinc but higher absorption, others have a smaller compound, but less absorption
>>
>>36765597
>been memed
>buying supplements

pick two
>>
>>36765597
haha i was at grocery store they keep the vitamins near the pharmacy area. i was standing in the isle searching for zinc or zma when some cute pharmacist girl asks if i need help "n-no tthanks" and dash off
>>
Dude just get a men's multi vitamin, it's really all you need
>>
Zma is a meme. It's only cool because the magnesium gives you crazy dreams.
>>
>>36765597
what makes you think you even need it ? have you been tested for a deficiency?

Supplementing zinc can lead to a loss of the sense of smell.. not at all anything you want to mess with... not even sure if this is a reversible loss... this is a dangerous meme. pass.
>>
>>36765597
A lot of zinc is sweated out with your workout. It's best to take it at night in order to make sure your body is at optimal levels. 50mg is a lot though. You should only use that on your workout days when you are sweating.
>>
>>36773835
Can i drink my sweat to retain my zinc levels?

>>36773808
Shoo shoo low test jew
