Cause Mr. Olympia is the biggest bodybuilding competition in the world, full of politics. They'd rather have an exciting contest than to se the best person winning. Of course they'll preferably choose a contestant which they can advertise and benefit from to the fullest. I'd like to see Big Ramy win too but unless he learns English or develops a muscle maturity that will blow everyone away. He'll just keep grabbing a spot in the top 5.

Na fuck that. Kai looked massive in the documentary. It wasn't even a contest. You just can't have Kai be the face of bodybuilding because he's too fucking weird in every aspect. Phil is a much better spokesman for the sport.

You might be smart enough to not follow it as intensely like other bb fans, but I personally think a lot of fans go there in hope of seeing Phil get dethroned. Just look at last year's Mr Olympia for example, the hype was huge for Kai Greene who was teasing everyone with pictures, showing us that he was in one of his best shapes ever and then he dropped out cause he "forgot" to sign the contract.
Phil is the perfect type of champion to advertise. He's arrogant and has nasty attitude to back it which stirs a lot of controversy and attracts more views. I don't really find Mr Olympia that exciting but it's a really easy contest to bait clueless die hard bb fans with.
