you dont need microplates
what worked for me was, when i started plateuing at ~60kg 5 reps and low rep workouts didnt increase it anymore,
i switched to higher rep workouts (10+) and after a few weeks tested ONE REP again and got 70kg.
this will be my current strategy, doing high reps and increasing that weight for a few more weeks then switching back to low reps and seeing what i can do
