Be honest, /fit/. Do you do warmup sets? Do you only do them before heavy compounds? Do you neglect them altogether?

"If a routine is bereft of a warmup, it is no longer a warmup. It is a cesspool of pain and lies."

Anything over 50% of your 1 rpm is considered a working set and anything less is a warm up.
So "no" I never do warm ups
I do a plate down for warmup usually, so for 2pl8 bench 3x5 I'll do one set of 8 to warm up and make sure my form is good, 3pl8 squat 3x5 I do 2pl8 warmup etc.
It helps make sure your form is on point and make sure that you don't have any pain or anything that may interfere with a heavy lift.
Yeah, or my first set will be pure hell
i jog for 15 minutes
then i shoot hoops for another 10
then i do 20 ohp with just the bar
then 20 bent over rows with just the bar
10 row into ohp with just bar
20 body squats
10 lunges
then i start putting weight on the bar. first a 25. then i take off the 25 and put on a 45. then i put on a 25. then i take the 25 off and put a 45 so there's 2 45s
in between sets i do 10 body squats 5 pull ups and 10 push ups
after my entire weight lifting routine i cooldown with a 5 minute walk and then 20 minutes of stretching
beast.
