DOMS is caused by the lactic acid build-up that comes from lifting heavy things. Any kind of cardiovascular exercise breaks down the lactic acid, making DOMS far less noticeable.
If you can, do your running towards the end of your session. You'll likely feel a whole lot less shit.

The best thing you can do is wait a day then do another workout. I'm serious. After a few warm up sets DOMS will reduce dramatically. By the time you're done they'll be pretty much gone and won't come back until you take another fucking 8 years off.

Kek, I had this happen to me. I couldn't sleep the next day, by the second day I could stretch my arms about 80%. Still went to the gym though, fuck that I'm ain't quitting

When you work out for the first time in a long time the sornes is always pretty bad but it will go away and the next time it will be better.
Also antioxidants help but only if you eat/take them regularly.

When I came back to lifting after 6 months, the pain in my legs was crazy. So bloody sore I couldn't sit properly. I slowly stretched them out, and I found warm showers helped. Also, short walks (active recovery) really did wonders, but in small doses.
The pain starts to get progressively less after each workout, until you only feel it if you do something crazy like breather squats.
Every workout I do I'm chasing after DOMS. I love that shit, its like I can feel myself making it
