Anyone else here a long time user? I want to hear your stories. How has long term marijuana use affected your life?

8+ years here and I have basically no mental health issues. Rarely depressed, live with great gf, decent job, decent looking with a body that has been in the gym, dont have to worry about money, lots of friends. I'm high pretty much all the time. I vape in the mornings, go to work at a big corporate firm, sometimes come home at lunch and take a dab, dab hard at night and smoke my ass off on the weekends. I probably go through an oz of high quality bud a month and a couple grams of concentrate. When I go on vacation, I sometimes think about it, but dont necessarily crave it or go out of my way to get it. Recently i started listening to Loveline archives from the early 2000's and it blows my mind how Dr. Drew has such conviction about how long term marijuana use can have insane bad effects on mental health and depression. I personally don't feel like it effects me, other than making me more relaxed and potentially some bong lung. However, more recently i've been questioning whether I have an addiction and I most certainly think I do. My family has a history of alcoholism and although I don't have a problem with alcohol, I definitely consume a shitload of pot.

also in b4 dude weed lmao

Smoked bud for around 2 years. Turned me into a lazy unproductive piece of shit. Lost all of my real friends and made a bunch of fake new ones. When I finally quit I got my grades back up in college and started taking my fitness seriously. I know a lot of people who were never negatively effected by it, but it's not right for me.

Oh Suh Dude

I've smoked every day for nearly 9 years. Its definitely had a negative effect on my short term memory and cognition. I also have a good job and work out and all that jazz but I find myself in a mental fog sometimes.

I also do harder 1 to 2 times a month and get blasted drunk every weekend so that doesn't help.

smoked 7 years, no real issues but it did get me into mdma. money seems to be a big factor when i see my friends smoking. they all have shitty living situations and shitty cars, but obv thats not a problem that you seem to have.

tl;dr

but in regards to marijuana, just don't smoke it

seriously, it's not that fucking hard.

you degenerate "stoners" are cancer to the earth. stick with legal shit or just be sober.

It's sad that you have to constantly be under the influence of something to live your life. Kill yourself.
>>
I used to smoke a lot but I'd get way too addicted to it

Weed seems to work differently for me than other people. I get nootropic like effects. super energetic and mentally clear as fuck

Lifting while high in a non crowded gym is God tier
>>
Started at 15, I'm 27 now. Maybe 2-3 years in there where I didnt smoke. But my memory is shit. And everything just seems to suck if im not high. But then I get high and I dont wanna do anything but sit around. I graduated college and have been employed since, but my free time is such a waste because of weed. But every time I quit I wind up coming back. Most recent attempt was 3 months. Guess im weak.
>>
Smoking never got in the way of work or lifting but I suck dick at boxing if I'm even a little high so I cut down on it
>>

All I do is

Oh look this thread again, did we have a thread with 200 odd replies in less than a few hours ago?

Anyway, its individual, I've been smoking for about 8 years, I never let it interfere with my life. Although I am a daily smoker I smoke very little of it, usually 1g a week tops as I use a little as a sleep aid to wind down after work and gym. Maybe once every month or two I'll get really chonged with some old buddies and have a filmathon or game, but otherwise nah. Never felt the appeal of wanting to be stoned during the day. I actually quite like getting shit done.

On the flipside I know plenty of proactive people who smoke it ahella more than I do, equally, I know people who have let it engulf their lives and have turned into a bunch of state-supported dole dossing losers. It's individual.

Been smoking for like 5 years, once I got a nasty cough that stuck around bc I kept smoking and coughing my lungs out so I let up for a week and it went away.

I'm kind of a crazy person but since I started smoking more frequently this past year or so I've actually calmed down a lot and have less issues with my malfunctions

it depends
most of the symptoms they associate with long term marijuana use are symptoms associated with the battle for your soul, spiritual oppression...

ive been told that marijuana opens up pathways in your brain, and opens your third eye as well

I smoke whenever I can, am "diagnosed" with a mental disorder, but have 0 health problems

rarely even get the sniffles

don't even take the bullshit medicine they prescribe me (risperdal), because they are trying to turn me into a bitch
>>
>>36678577
legal bud literally as the same side effects as meth
I think people who have a stick up their ass like you are the cancer of the earth desu
you should smoke something, bitch, like Pimp C would say

Nurse with a specialty in dementia reporting in.

I have smoked every single day for two and a half years, probably only clearing half an oz a fortnight on average. On days that I work, I smoke myself into oblivion when I knock off (close to 11pm probably) and start smoking at 5pm on days I don't work.
I really cannot see how people can get stoned throughout the day when the sun is high in the sky without feeling like a massive degenerate. Granted, smoking seems to have taken it's toll on my willingness to go out and socialise and will make me very careful and regulate what I eat throughout the day as I know when I smoke I get quite ravenous.
In total, it's had definite negative effects on my life and has no brought many benefits, as I prioritize smoking above social invitations and tend to become very unproductive while smoking/being stoned. I lose all urge to do all things except browse 4chan and mindlessly watch something on television, it doesn't seem to matter what it is.
I'm a slave to it, I can't not smoke, but it's hindering my progression in life, specifically the social realm. It's also destroying my cardiovascular endurance. I'm always playing catch up with my smoking habits, as in I overexercise aerobically to make up for it, but i'm always losing.

I wish I never got into it :( it has exacerbated my mental illnesses and now I cannot get out.

To answer your question though, it might affect my fitness because I spend a large part of the day in what feels like a catabolic / low blood sugar state as I know I need to wait till im high to consume cals, but I never miss a day in my home gym :^)
>>
Its really a case by case thing. I smoked for almost 15 years, and while my life is fine, I still wonder what my life would of been like if I had saved all that money, and spent all that time being productive.
