Around 1 or 2 years ago I was big on doing 5x5 and loved squatting. Wether my form as correct or not there was a time when I would always go heavy every training day even tho that wasnt my work weight.
For example, if that day I was going to do, lets say, 150lb, I would do 5x5 and then push to 160, 170, and so on till 200lbs etc.
This pattern continued for a while until I quit the GYM.
Even today I still feel knee pain and I cant determine if its because:
a) I fucked my shit up back then
Or
b) My sedentary lifestyle (sitting, playing videogames, etc) has done a number on them
This pain becomes present while doing any physical activity like running or bodyweight squats.
Althought I havent been in a GYM over a year I would like to get back, but the thought of having fucked my knees and not being able to do squats anymore kind of puts me off.
I just want to prevent further damage.
