Hey 300lbs man here 22 5'8 trying to turn it around, I can't afford a gym membership right now can I achieve results with dumbbells? I'm talking about short term until I can afford to pay for a gym membership. I'm also doing cardio but I have heard that weight lifting is the best way to get in shape.

Cut the calories (1200 max), and carbs.
Drink a shit ton of water.
Walk. Everywhere.
Once you hit 250, then think about weights with cardio.
At 230 join a gym.
