This so fucking much. Zyzz threads have become less common, and the few times we have one there is always a handful of faggots who ask the same question: "Why does /fit/ look up to this roided fuck?" I've only been on /fit/ for about three-and-a-half or four years at most, so I can't really say. Only thing I can tell you is that when I first came to this board, anon was a lot more willing to give you advice. Basically, /fit/ gave me the best fitness and nutrition advice I've seen before or since and it transformed me for the better.
Now? Outside of the sticky and the dedicated threads such as /plg/, there's nothing but frogposting and vegan trolling. I also miss the old fat stories threads.
