Is it good way to program weighted chin ups?

I do 5x5.

I have tried SS and 5/3/1 style training with weighted chins and honestly I found 3x5 linear progression the fastest and easiest way to make progress. I got to 3x5 with 45kg added pretty quickly on 3x5, I made okay progress on 5/3/1 but I don't think it really suits chins very well

All that matters is progressing on your weight. If you can consistently do that then it's working

For pull progression i do weighted chinups with 40kg 5x5-8 and assisted one arm pullups 5x5-8 , both build good stregth.
