does anyone else here NOT want to have big legs?
I just hate the way they look, they take away from that aesthetically pleasing V shape. this is why I don't do squats, just the leg press once a week, because I don't want my legs to get big I just want them to be athletic. I think upper-body focused physiques look the best, so long as the legs aren't completely DYEL tier like never trained ever

I have really long legs and a short torso which means that squats are even harder for me to put weight up on as well as my legs distributing the muscle mass over more area so they look skinnier. I look weird as fuck in lifting shoes.

I believe he wants to add mass on his legs, he just doesnt want them to be really really huge.
Personally, my only intentions for lifting is to be as strong as possible but deep down inside i dont want to look retarded as well. Being t-rex or having invisible lat syndrome or having huge arms w/ no delts is just unacceptable. It is not worth the strength gains, and honestly mass isnt what gives you strength anyway fortunately.
There are a lot of people who are very self conscious about their appearance OP and they really dont post here or have seen this thread hundreds of times.
Mostly trolls and noobs post on fit so if anyone reading this is against having this or that, then just fucking do what you want to/have to do.

While I'm sure there are exceptions to every rule this is mostly not true. Yes, strong, hard, aesthetically looking quads and glutes do add to a decent upper body, however, few girls will notice your legs aren't as jacked as your upper body, mainly arms, chest, and abs.

i'm kind of in OP's situation as well, i'm prone to getting t-rex legs, so i've stayed at a 2pl8 squat for the past year (1x per week 3x5)

I'm the opposite. you obviously arent an athlete if you don't appreciate your lower body. the v taper is still in effect because it starts with your waist, not your feet. i can't take a guy with a big upper body and small legs seriously.
