By going on and off and doing several things at a time, one little model takes me about 4 to 5 hours. I basically start in the afternoon and finish at midnight, but as I said, I do lots of other stuff, so most of the time I'll apply 1 layer or a wash, and then play vidya for a good 40 before remembering it takes less than 5 min to dry.

2 things: Procrastinating on /fit/, with most of my housemates going to the gym regurlarly, and going to the dentist actually. Had to very small cavities that were fixed no problem, but I was vewed by the fact that I had them. To me it's only people that have poor dental hygien that get them, but I used to just eat terribly all the time, basically cereals and milk 90% of the time. So I decided to hit 2 birds with one stone and start lifting and eat well.
Being a skinny nerd was also a motivation, and my mates were very supportive so that helped.

It's actually pretty common for soldiers to be into tabletop, as it's a good occupation. I saw some great stuff from soldiers once at a Gamesday. They did a whole Space Hulk board, probably 3 meters on each side. The only condition they got from their superiors to be there was to give flyers about engaging. It was pretty awesome to see some lads cosplaying as Imperial Guardsmen doing that.

I practice game design and hit up internet tutorials and books I've ordered to get me better at programming for it. This occupies most of my time outside work since I'm a workaholic for it and I love doing it.
I've also been writing a scifi novel for the young adult audience I plan to publish after its completion. I write minimum 500 words a day toward it.
