Hey /fit/ I injured my knee and I need a leg workout that I can do while still kind of injured.
It's almost healed already, but it still gets irritated when I run. Should I use the smith machine? Is deadlifting okay? What other exercises can I do that would work the same muscles as using a squat rack?

Let pain be your guide
But the bike is always a good choice for when your knee is busted
You need to let it heal anon
dude if you have a little injure like some tendon or shit let it heal, stop using that tendon
if you keep using it you are going to make things worse

I let it heal for a couple weeks. I've been using a bike and running since then.
I tried using the squat rack with 25's today and it started to hurt after a few sets :/
Should I take a couple more weeks off?

When you're injured you need to absolutely not fuck around and put ANY stress on it until you're 110% sure you're OK. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll make the process even longer and might end up in snap city.
>be me
>knee feeling funny
>push through pain/discomfort
>don't take adequate time off
>end up tearing meniscus and LCL
>reconstructive knee surgery for me
>out for damn near 6months
I stopped training legs all together besides for jogging. Don't be me.

fuck
ok, my injury is only patellar tendonitis, but I was injured for about 6 months before I knew or even did anything about it so it was a pretty bad case of it
I guess I'll have to take another week off

It's always better to take more time off. Can't make gains when you fuck your body up. Hope you feel better bro, we're all gonna make it.

thanks man we're all gonna make it
