What are you main/staple foods?

Any tips on saving bux?

Is $60 per week enough?

$60 per week is about 3x what I spend anon, and I'm gaining weight. I cook in bulk, but what I always buy are these;

Pasta
Rice
Chicken
Beef
Beans
Oats
Vegetables

And that's it. I mean, I buy seasoning and stuff but those are my staples. Usually I spend about $20-$30 and cook enough food to last me the work week (Mon - Thr) and then Thursday night I cook enough food to last until sunday, then cook again sunday night. $60 is actually quite a bit if you shop smart.

Buy chicken breast in bulk when it goes on sale. You will spend more than $60 but I've seen it as low as $1.99/lb and at those prices $60 dollars would get you 1-2 months worth of breast.

Then shopping in between to supplement will hold you over for $30-$50 if you don't have to buy meat.

Will canned meats kill me?

I know Costco sells it on sale in bulk sometimes.

Also Amazon sells it directly, so I can lie and tell them I never received the package and get a refund (even though I did)

My staples include

eggs
chicken (I prefer bone-in thighs)
fish (I like tilapia, a lot of people hate it)
onions
celery
carrots
tomatos
beans
lentils
oatmeal

Get a job at a supermarket for that sweet 5% discount

I spend under $60 a week most of the time and I buy food from the fancy ass hippie grocery store and get all my chicken breasts from their already prepared and ready to cook stuff that's expensive. I cannot imagine a way to spend much more than that for one person except maybe by adding alcohol but I only drink socially.

I always buy a shitload of cottage chees. It costs like 1$ for 0,5 kg (~1 pound) which gives me 60 grams of protein. Also whole milk, oats, chicken breast and bacon. Bulking feels pretty good, although can be a little boring when Im low on money. Anyone knows good bulking recipies when tfw no oven?

Just because someone shredded doesn't mean their diet is healthy and top tier. You can get shredded on pizza and cheeseburgers if you burn more calories that you eat. It's that simple.
