@Judith Hurley an overage 80+kg male running just 10 km in one hour burns ~850 kcal. If you aren't a fatass you can easily reach 12 km/hour and go well beyond the 1000 kcal goal.

I've been strictly keeping to 1500 a day for about 6 weeks now, and honestly my personal view is having 3 500kcal meals a day, I usually start my day with a baguette or sandwich, then after my work out I might have two chicken breasts and a jumbo sausage (no homo) and in the evening some Mexican pepper rice with a homemade peri sauce and a piece of tomato and basil flat bread, the sauce has almost no calories.

I try not to have dinner until about 7-8pm, that way I'm less likely to get hunger around the 9-11pm mark which is when most people tend to snack

Why would you make that big of a jump? If your maintenance is 2000 you should bulk at 2300 and cut at 1700. 500 is too much in both cases. Also make sure to get enough protein, I remember I made the mistake of not getting enough protein on my first cut and lost a bunch of gains.

Because you usually eat a lot, regardless of whether it's healthy or not. You probably eat a lot of volume occupying food and this enlarges your stomach, making you capable of eating more.

Also, burgers are calorically dense as fuck.
