How come for the barbell bench press, people say your supposed

How come for the barbell bench press, people say your supposed to keep your elbows tucked in, but with dumbbell bench you can keep your elbows flared out?

It goes for the dumbbell press as well as the barbell. Flared elbows hit your pecs hard but unfortunately it's also something very few people can do long-term without absolutely destroying their shoulder joints.
The Neck Press aka. Guilloutine Press is actually an outstanding chest builder. But for most people it does more harm than good. The cost/benefit ratio is fucked.

tl;dr tuck your elbows regardless of the implement. Even if it's push-ups.

If you want a big chest you'll do it in the way that activates chest the most (elbows out)

If you're a pussy you'll do it with elbows tucked in. Enjoy your tricep exercise

I just tried this with the dumbbells I have at home, because I usually do barbell bench at the gym.
I definitely felt my chest more when I had the elbows tucked in, and more shoulders when I flared them out. So I would tuck them in
