How often do you work biceps?
>>
>>36589406
almost every time i work back
>>
>>36589406
Do reverse ez bar curl at the end of my chest and back days.

That's it.
>>
Every session?
>>
I have my workout split to two days.
So every second workout I do 3x8 barbell curls and 3x8 dumbbell hammer curls.
Also, sometimes I do supersets with lighter weight at home when I don't go to the gym. Just go for the quick burn and pump feeling while my vidya is loading or whatever
>>
So am I the only stupid that does Starting Strenght here?
>>
>>36589406
I do chin-ups every morning and evening.
>>
>>36589578
I do SS with barbell curls and pull ups.
>>
>>36589406
Every time the squat rack is available
>>
I do weighted chinups up to 110lbs.
>>
>>36589406
twice a week
>>
never I just come here for feels threads.
>>
>>36589406
Literally every day
It's easy to just bang out some sets after my main workout
>>
>>36589406
nunca
>>
DB Curls 2x10 on Tuesday. 5x5 on either Friday or Sunday.
>>
>>36589817
Get out of here wey.
>>
Once a week I go hard on them
and chinups every other day
can't recommend zottman curls enough, shit finally put some meat on my lanky bones
>>
>>36589406
Every session. There's no reason not to since it's such a small muscle and recovers very quickly. Unless you're an idiot about it and somehow think your biceps needs as many work sets as your entire back (yes, people actually do this)

If you have two back-to-back sessions I've found it effective to go heavy on day 1 and go for maximum pump on day 2. Seems to have some kind of synergistic effect.

Also, don't forget to use both supinated, pronated and neutral grips to work all the elbow flexors (not on the same day).
>>
>>36589406
Never. Because isolation style exercises are for brosplit faggots.
>>
3x a week because I fucking love hitting biceps
>>
>>36590037
What's it like to base your training on irrational emotional concepts?
>>
i usually superset biceps on pull days

3x10-12 rope bicep curls
3x10-12 seated incline bicep curls
3x10-12 standing curls

- recovering trex with tiny biceps

frequency is twice a week P-P-L-X-P-P-L.

Not Op but just for reference it would be grat if guys could reply to their post and mine to say what size their biceps are.

i hit it about once a week before, but i will start 2-3 times a week now, 14 inch arms atm, dropped down from 15 because of no eating when drunk
>>
>>36589406
17" arms and I do 0.00 curls a week

You're supposed to do chinups with SS.

And if you actually listen to Rip you would wait until the gym is closed and do 9 sets of curls.

I understand why it would be interesting for you to see if we have something to back up our way of training, but you have to keep a couple of things in mind...

1) There is a HUGE difference between a biceps and a fatceps. Just huge. So bodyfat percentage plays a big part as well.

2) Height factors in. Somebody who's quite a bit taller simply has a bigger arm than the shorter guy, sometimes even if the shorter guy's arm might be more developed.

3) Biceps is only part of the arm. The triceps (which we are not talking about here) makes up more of the circumferee.

4) People like to e-stat.

5) Genetics play a big part. Many, many people have big arms (or other muscle groups) in spite of what they're doing rather than because of what they're doing.

6) There's more than one way to skin a cat. There are many different ways to train and they can all be quite effective. At the end of the day, what matters the most is progressive overload. It's much more important than what frequency you use or what intensity methods you employ or what "secret exercise". THIS - PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD - trumps everything else.

But to answer your question, my arms are about 40 cm give or take, at 177 cm height and fairly lean. Not super lean but quite visible bicep vein at all times. I've always found it easy to grow my triceps while my biceps need some special attention. They're quite stubborn.

Who skins a cat?
>>
>>36589406
Twice a week do bb curls and chinups. Some time in the far future i will be able to do weighted chinups
>>
>>36589406
Twice, once with the EZ curl bar, the next time hammer curls.

For some reason I have amazing bi and shoulder genetics, because they grow stupid fast when I don't even focus on them much.
>>
>>36590717
Well shit that's probably the one thing in my post I can't really elaborate on.
>>
I do 5x10x2 alternating hammer curls
3x10 preacher curls
1x10, 1xF weighted chin ups

I do have a designated arm day, but I usually do curls at the end of my back and occasionally leg workouts.
>>
>biceps
>not asking for triceps which are better if you want bigger arms
how DYEL you are OP?
>>
>>36590791
Do you know how cringe-worthy your post is? You sound like someone who thinks he's smart because he's just recently found out something that everybody else considers self-evident and common knowledge.
Why the fuck do you feel a need to put him down for just asking a simple question?
>>
Are pullups + dips 3x a week enough to work bi/tri?
>>
>chest/back
>quads/abs/calves
>arms/delts
>hams/abs/calves
2on1off, so every three days
>>
>>36589578
you're the only stupid here that says he's doing Starting Strength without actually reading the fucking book.
>>
>>36589406
Do you mean isolation work?
Most pull days so 2 times a week.

Just some DB hammer curls or Ez bar usually
>>
>>36590791

Hey guyz I recently learned about triceps why the hell would you want to train biceps since those are only 1/3 of the arms girth hahahahahhhahha how dyel are you OP hhahahah omg fucking normies
>>
Almost every time.
Chest/ tris/ biceps
Shoulders/ abs/ biceps
Legs
Back/ biceps

Fuck me whens smoko cunt
>>
How can I make sure that I use the biceps during workout?
Most of the time it just feels as if everything is done by the brachialis.

Also, how come my left biceps is more defined than the right one, even though my right hand is considerably stronger?
>>
>>36590604
lay the foundation pupper
>>
Only on back day, once or twice a week. Maybe two bicep isolation exercises
My bis aren't very big, and I'm okay with that
>>
>>36590818
Add in any type of curls and some skullcrushers or tricep pushdowns and you'll be fine i reckon.
>>
>>36589406
2-3 times a week. My arms are only 16 inches, going on and off gym for years. Been lifting consistent while cutting for 4 months now.
