it forces you to lift (relatively) heavy weight with internally rotated shoulders

if you want shoulders, concentrate on being able to ohp/bench a fuckton with decent volume and do laterals and rear delt flys/rows
laterals still carry risk of impingement, but way less than upright rows

most pro bbers do them because they take shittons of gh and thus have a bit of "injury insurance"
