>done nothing but go to the gym and NEET hobbies for the past 4 years
>see old friends and socialize like a few times a year

I think I'm starting to lose it

is there a program for starting life?
>>
No. Once you become an adult, you'll be alone most of the time unless you start a family.
>>
how old are you?
>>
>>36539741

Poor you huh? You know what would have happened to you 200 years ago? You would have literally starved to death. While now you do nothing yet you have roof over your head, electricity to fuel your porn addiction and enough high quality food for gains.

Get fucked

yep

1.What is a job?
2.Volunteering will help you get out of the house and meeting people.
3.Travel will help you see new places and meet new people.
4.Get social hobbies.

Cycle these and gf might happen.
>>
yeah, do shit you're scared of until you're not scared anymore, then do some more scary shit.

personal development.

Trying to escape that "waiting for my life to start" feeling myself OP. Such a crushing feel brehs

A couple years ago when I was in university all I could think about was graduating and getting a real job. That was my focus and everything was leading up to it and now I'm there and I don't know what to fucking do

I'm loving my job so far and that is a big part of my life now but outside of that I'm just lifting, shitposting on 4chan, occasionally video games

Do you also suck at life, /fit/? I'm always waiting for that "next" thing.

I'm 26. I should start by kissing this place goodbye. But I like it so much.

When you love something set it free. I love you ,anon. I should probably trigger you into getting banned but it would only be a temporary solution.

Try this: 2 hours a day you work on social gains, and see if you can get the snow ball to roll, get friends and all that. Can you do that for me? 2 hours a day.
>>
>>36540264
Lol

If you're older than 25 you won't really make friends like you would in high school or even university.
>>
>>36540098
are you honestly that stupid? we were making the same point
>>
>>36540098

Thanks, you just made my life not feel so bad
>>
>>36540362
It depends on how you are socializing. Be smart about it. If you lock yourself in a circle of habits or socialize in the wrong crowds then it is significantly more difficult, but as long as you avoid this then you can make more friends.
>>

Are you me?

Graduated three years ago and have a job but feel like life has ended. Have barely any friends anymore and spend all my time powerlifting and browsing the internet

How do you go about making friends in mid twenties without coming off as a loser? I give off a "try hard/desperate" vibe like a conversation gathering goes aight until they realize I don't have other friends then it gets weird
>>
>>36540452
It's just American ennui. The yurops went through it around WW2 and since there's no encouraged benefit or challenge to society other than to consume, that's why so many non-starters and "people who want to watch it burn," aka /pol/.
>>
>>36540488

im not even sure where to go

going to bars by yourself? makes me feel like a loser or awkward.
>>
>>36539741
literally me

>work in my dead end job 3-4 shifts a week
>apply for grad jobs and never hear back
>lift
>see my friends once a month
i feel dead inside
>>

You need interests, i.e. things you enjoy doing. Like riding bikes? Join a cycling group. Like playing racquetball? Join a club. Enjoyed kickball as a kid? Go join a league. Reading groups, sports, movies, travel, etc. Surround yourself with people who enjoy the same things as you, then you'll have a starting off point for conversation and such.
>>
Go to college. Participate in extracurricular activites. Search for people with similar interest.
>>
>>36540142
>2.Volunteering will help you get out of the house and meeting people.
>look at volunteering
>rarely are places open on weekends
>hospitals, animal shelters and soup kitchens are especially full and all require 2-3 professional references and an interview
why is finding a volunteer position so difficult
>>
>>36540583
Contact old peoples homes and say you want to read to the eldery or something. If they don't have a program themselves they probably knows organizations who do stuff like that. You get to hang around nurses and might get a number because you look caring. Also, old people can be kinda awesome to be around.
>>
Leave everything behind and travel. Train hopping is pretty cheap.
>>
>>36541223
Temporary solution and will most likely end up in alcoholism and/or drug abuse.
>>
>>36541238

Alright then.

I've been running a mildly successful web business (paying more than average salary from my school at this point) for ~2 years since college but all I did was sit at my computer at home and lift for 2 hours a day

I picked up a second job as a barista of all things and the fact that I get to talk to people regularly made me WAY happier
