Media general was suppose to bring a new age of enlightenment for society.
In reality we have fallen so far as a whole, sure there are plenty of productive people in the world, but the majority... the majority of us have no aspirations anymore.
We live comfortable lives, happy with very little.
We have no hopes or dreams, and living is so easy now days.
One hundred, maybe even fifty years ago starvation was a very real thing.
The desire to just not die was enough to get people going and moving along with life.
Now I can eat food cheap as fuck, I can work a few hours a week for my shitty place, and I can work out and surf dank memes.
I need nothing.
What's sad is being born in the late 80s, I can remember a time before mainstreamed video games and internet.
I remember being forced to play outside with friends.
I feel nothing, but pity for people younger than 23 now.

I tried getting a normal job, I just wanted a simple life with no responsibilities where I could just focus on a simple job for a few hours a day, take home a paycheck allowing me to pay for a place to live (wouldn't even need anything big and fancy, or even to own it), put simple nutritious food on my table, training at the gym and going home to Lordran.
Instead I get suckered into promotion after promotion, endless hours of overtime because someone else couldn't do their job proper, mandatory attendance socials/dinners (with open bar obv), business travels out the ass so I can't plan a training cycle, and forget even thinking about a steroid cycle.
When I come home I'm so dead tired that I'm happy if I have the time to read a little. I haven't had no time to play Dark Souls or BF4 in I don't know how long. I've missed so many training days too.
I was sure this job was so dead-end that I wouldn't have to worry about the endless responsibility circus, and now they're furnishing an office for me. I guess there's not much to do about it other than to deal with it and make the best out of it.
