I've just started going to the gym a few weeks ago.
My problem is this. Last year I had a six pack(not lying) and I've slacked off but my problem is that I've always have had big legs and cankles. When I was working out and watching what I ate my top half lost the body fat but my bottom half kept it. Whats going on, why can't I get rid of the fat on my legs? I was fat growing up but lost all of it in middle school except on my legs.

Give it time,it'll get better just keep training.
I had the same legs as you do,I'm a tall guy, just do more leg exercises.
You'll make it bro.

Not OP, but I have a question.
I recently started going to a gym about 2 weeks ago as part of my efforts to lose weight. Since then, my weight hasn't gone up or down, because muscle weighs more than fat and all that stuff.
But when I checked my scale today, it says I'm over 3 pounds lighter than I was yesterday.
Is this normal?

+-2 kgs can easily fluctuate every day, so you need to look at the trend over a bigger timeframe.
You also can't put up much muscle in 2 weeks so stop deluding yourself, you haven't lost weight because you're not doing it right.

Any good advice, then? How long should it take to start to notice significant muscle growth and/or weight loss?
