Thank God you don't have to see that shit. I swear, man, every time I bench or want to bench one of the benches is taken up by a dude doing barbell rows. It's always some middle-aged man, too. Never anyone over 60 or under 40.

It gets me so mad because I know some people want to bench and they have to wait for this waste of space to either finish up or figure out that we have a free barbell in the corner literally five meters from where he's doing his barbell rows.

Fantastic. Now I have my water bottle back at my station. It's so refreshing getting to awkwardly dart my eyes around the gym, while avoiding eye contact, as I sit in the same spot for even longer now with my 'slightly preworkout/slightly protein shake flavored' water, instead of getting to walk around, clear my mind, and get fresh clean tasting water from the fountain.

Just get a bigger bottle. Sounds like it's going to solve all your problems except tripping over it. To fix that just set it somewhere you wont knock it over. I use a 2 L canteen and when it's summer and the non-AC gym I go to is hot as balls, I drain through the whole thing in a workout.

For instance, when starting to play a piano, you don't need to know the musical styles of Mozart, the names of all the scales, and the advanced terminology of music theory. You start with the basics. You may never need much of that info.

It's the same with fitness. You need to realize that everything beyond the absolute basics is for people who have already mastered the basics. That's not even broscience, it's why we yawn in the first place. It's why we still need to yawn in the morning even though all that sleeping should have been enough. We only associate yawning with sleepiness because your body knows you're doing something beyond your current means so it tries to gather as much oxygen as possible. More oxygen means more stored glucose being converted into energy. When you're actually tired you're forced to yawn a lot because your body knows you're going to be fucked without that extra boost.
