I first started lifting at 16 for football, 19 now. My coach had us running a modified "westside for skinny bastards". It got me strong as fuck lol

I did full body, one exercise per muscle group. Looked something like this:

>Incline Press
>Cable row
>Ab Crunches (kill me)
>Squats
>Cardio for 10 minutes at the end
Didn't even work everything but at least I got something done.

SS is simple and good for complete noobs but WS4SB is better IMO. You'll end up building a strong looking body and a lot of strength (assuming you know how to eat)

Myself as well. I don't understantd the flame that SS gets. It works legs so frequent to release more testosterone (allegedly) and it never bothered me. I dont know if hating on SS is just some ironic joke on here (even after being on 4chan for around 2 years) or something but I saw some pretty damn good progress over the 4 months I used it as my routine. Went from 135 lb squat to close to 300lbs at 3x5. My chin up went from 3x1 standard to 3x5 with 25lbs. additional weight. This board needs less opinions and better information. Also every thread is about being a sad cunt with no girl. man the fuck up

Did SS for about 6 months, added biceps curls about a month in

then switched to a push/pull legs routine after that.

I completely agree, however, it's just a meme. SS/SL/ICF 5x5/WS4SB/ANY beginner program should be used as a base. There's literally no point in going straight to a brosplit or PPL if you can't even bench 1pl8 for 10 reps

From my experience (what i've witnessed in different gyms over the years), those who aren't strong always look like dogshit year-round and keep spinning their wheels... they look the same year after year, lifting the same lightweights; no progress
