D1: roughly 90% single + backoff sets on all 3 comp lifts
D2: upper body heavy
D3: lower body heavy
D4: upper volume

Thats a pretty hard question. You can train every lift for low frequency and high volume right now, or you could train them more often in a high frequency setup.

For most people I think something like squat twice, bench three times, deadlifts once or twice a week should be pretty much minimum.

Ive grown to love the volume, but I know tons of people who would think this is very fun.

I think you often see very heavy lifters not like volume, and be more inclined to do low frequency high intensity stuff.

Please give a walkthrough of your thoughts/cues/anything for low bar squats, lad.

Unrack:
*Thumb-joints on knurling-smooth area border
*Use weight on the bar to get the bar far down on my back
*Deep breath before unracking
*Look up to get the tightest possible position until the bar locks my upper back in place
*Shoulder blades together, make upper back as "small" and tight as possible while making my chest bigger and pulling the bar into my back
*Get feeling that my glutes can push through in a "rotating" way. Hard to explain....having my feet point slightly outward helps
*hips in and glutes tight before unrack, so I dont unrack with an arched back or something
*Two-three steps maximum as I walk out. Ideally two steps, but often one step to correct

Start:
*Breathe out a little bit of the one breath I took before unrack
*glutes tight,chest big as I start
*Tuck chin in, keep head looking forward or slightly up, keep in the same position the whole squat
*Weight on the middle outside of my feet in the bottom position(heard people call it "grip the floor" before)
*Back tight as a motherfucker


Mid-squat:
*Knees out, keep pushing outward to be able to push my glutes through as I turn back up
*Fight to keep upright position by pushing bar into my back and getting my chest out as Im about halfway up

Do you train paused or touch and go?

Recently been doing a 2 second pause per rep on all lifts, aside from squat.

My bench has always been a bit weak, and touch and go feels a bit like im cheating on a rep especially on DL.

Does a paused rep have more benefit for strength building?

I like structure. If I just did whatever I felt like, I'd run myself into the ground. Tried that for bench today and I ended up doing 5x5 80% followed by touch and go AMRAP, then threw on my slingshot and added 30 lbs and did a few singles then I did 4x8 with 70%.

This was supposed to be a deload week.

Apparently tony cliffe (currently best powerlifter in UK) squats and benching each once a week for 2 total training days (although doing decent volume each day)

Ray Williams also apparently squats, benches, and deadlifts each 1x per week. And judging by his video he squats high af too.

No idea how it's possible. But it indeed seems to only happen for the big lads

Every single pair of socks I use doesn't stop shit. Rugby socks, deadlift specific socks, field hockey socks, ain't nothin stopping the knurling from fucking my shins.

I taped up the old wounds today so they wouldn't reopen, so the bar just made new ones.

Probably around 50, lots of torque so sometimes it might push out more depending on how my chucks grip the floor. Sumo is getting really comfy, pulled 405 for a nice seven today.
