What's /fit/'s opinion on Intermittent fasting?

I'm doing it instead of cutting carbs or doing keto. I'm seeing results granted I've only been on it for 20 days I found something that works and is relatively easy.
The first week is hell. But after that it's fucking cake. Imagine pairing HIIT + IF + Keto. Who would even need DNP?
I'm doing IF + EC stack. I hope it works.

im wondering would it work for a fatso as well? i've got a BMI of 28, 178m, 89kgs. I mainly wanna lose weight.
I've been doing IF for a little over 2 months now, with great success. The first month and a half or so, I wasn't doing that well with my diet (I'd crumble probably once or twice a week and eat too much or outside of my 4 hour window), but even so I've cut a solid 5+% of my bodyfat and haven't lost any strength yet. Overall I'd say IF gets a 10/10 would highly recommend.

Yeah, provided you eat right. You'll most likely have urges to binge eat or you wont be able to stop when you start, so in the periods you DO eat, eat filling foods such as apples and just watch what you do eat.
I've been eating once a day for medical reasons, my opinions; it's the same as eating three times a day, except slightly worse according to studies.

Fuck yeah. It works for anyone, just make sure you stick with it. If your fat itll probably be rough for a week or two because your body might not be used to you not eating for extended periods of time. But once you make it out it's smooth sailing and weight comes off damn easy.
I don't even count my macros and I'm straight. Just watch a couple vids get the concept down then apply it.
morning cardio while fasted is working amazing for me while cutting. im not doing IF specifically, but I find that cardio after a cup of coffee works great.

What is IF exactly
Can someone explain it?

you go 16+hours every day without eating to increase mental alertness, growth hormone, control appetite and just for general convinience
fuck off greg
Basically it's just a different way to achieve a calorie deficit. If it works for you, go for it
