Hey /fit/, I'm wanting to start a new workout plan I recently found, but the problem is that said plan requires barbells, and the gym I use has everything but barbells (I know that's fucked up, but it's the only gym in my area so I have no choice.)
I was hoping you guys could give me some substitutes for the barbell exercises in my routine:
Workout A
Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
Pendlay Rows 3x8
Face Pulls 3x10
Calf raises 2x15/Tricep pressdowns 2x10 Superset
Workout B
Front Squat 3x5
Overhead Press 3x5
Romanian Deadlift 3x8
Lat Pulldowns 3x8
Ab work 2x15/Bicep curls 2x10 Superset (I don’t care what ab work you do)
Thanks in advance

I'd suggest that instead of substituting barbell exercises you substitute your gym and become home gym masterrace.

Use dumbbells for bench, OHP and rows.
You aren't going to get too far using dumbbells for squat and deadlift.

anon you are better off saving money for a real set of exercise equiptment in this case, i.e a power rack and bar + a bunch of used plates

Obviously without giving an exact address, can you tell us where you live? I bet there's other solutions.
Can you drive? Is there good public transport?
I get people having to use a Smith for squats as their only local gym doesn't have proper racks, but no barbells is just WAY too far. That's really going to affect you in the long run, hell in the short run too.

this. give us your area code op and i bet we can find a gym near you. You probably just want a gym within walking distance but tjat shit aint gonna fly. I travel 30 min by train to work out and you should too.
