Egg albumen (whites) is one of the most powerful antigens for humans. God only knows why we don't usually have an immune response from eating eggs, but dermally and subdermally were all likely allergic to them. They're included in most vaccines for instance so that the immune response will be increased in the area of injection increasing the likelihood of tye vaccine antigen being recognised by the immune cells.
