U can replace CDL with clean pull, it's praftically the same thing, ezpecially in terms of weight you can use, you just pull it more similar to how you would a clean. Dnt drag it up the legs, bring the hips towards the bar and extend. Do sn pull too, and snatch balance.

You shluld definitely squat higher frequency, but you can do a heavy light medium thing where back squaf is heavzy, front sq is mrdium, OHs is light.

If your feet are coming off the ground as a result of a properly executed extension that's fine and even desirable. If you are hopping like a faggy little rabbit without actually extending, like I see a lot of beginners do, then you need correction. Not having seen you lift, I can't speak toward which you might be doing.

I'm lifting at a crossfit gym. They have a weightlifting class once a week, and the coach is telling me that I'm pulling wrong because my shins aren't vertical. I said that I prefer to pull with shins tilted forward, then as I start to move the bar my knees go up and out of the way

she told me that not only am I wrong, but the only people who should pull with a more upright torso are long limbed people like Indians and that asians and whites should pull with vertical shins and more horizontal torsos to make the hamstrings work

I only clean about 120kg @ 85kg bodyweight but somehow this kind of seems wrong

Has anyone here ever had abdominal pain directly under their rib, near the center of the abdomen? I felt a sharp pain during one of my sets (didn't brace my core well enough before pulling the bar) for a deadlift. Worried about a hernia but there is no lump, been icing it. Any advice?

do this with no bar, then a stick, then empty bar etc...

just train for positions whilst getting your weightlifting specific strength up (ie heavy clean/snatch pulls, high bar squats, front squats, push presses)

This. Until yiu get good consistent tech you tend to lose your shit when youre fatigued/using heavuer weight. You either revert to old habits or just do dumv stuff. Thats why as a begineer you should keep things lighter and ingrain good technique into your CNS before really loading up.

Spend the BULK if yiur training with weight you have great technique with, but you can make some heavy attempts, but moreso to see IF you can get that weight with acceptable technique

Is my program fine. I used to lift heavy messing with volume every training all the time but I think I should periodize and focus on my weaknesses. But I don't really know how to organize my program, the weeks and how many reps/sets do at which weight...

They're very different movements, the only similarity is they start with a barbell on the ground. Your setup is different, the positions you move through are different, the tempo is different, etc. Power cleans (as a general strength training tool and not the WL variation) are more like box jumps than deadlifts to be honest family.

You probably have the strength to power clean way more unless your upper body is way stronger than lower. Most weightlifters who could press like that could power clean closer to 300 or more. I can get 275 consistently and rarely strict press more than 175
