Who else home gym master race?
Yeah dude. Shitposting between sets is pretty comfy.
Where can I find good cheap plates and bars?
I'm in Ireland so it must be international if it's there's a website.

ordering my shit today....
if only these fuckers at dynamic fitness and ebay reply to me...
question:
Is it safe to squat/deadlift on a olympic barbell? 3 pl8 squat 4.5 pl8 deadlift? or should I spend an extra 300 for a texas powerbar?
I've been using a weighted backpack (70 lbs) to do push ups/ pull ups/ lunges. It seems nice.

no
get a cheap mid range bar and lift until it breaks
I've got this weird chinese bar that's got all the right dimensions, bar thickness, length, markings, good knurling, decent bushings and all
only thing its missing is that it weights 16 kg instead of the full 20 kg, must have been made of cheaper materials or something since its also rated to handle "only" 320 kg.
on upside It only cost me 100 € and the way I figured it all out is that once I'm actually able to lift more than that bar can handle, I can afford a new one.

I'm getting a DHS training bar, and I'm worried I might bend it if I go over 3pl8 on a squat or pull.
I guess I'll just get a Texas bar.
Or a Ripp bar?

US? I see no reason to pay 600 $ for a bar
if you insist on getting a bit more pricey bar buy something like the Rogue Ohio bar or the Rogue B&R bar 2.0
>>36469179
where do you squat?
>started at 18
>never bought a squat rack, ohp the bar over my head
Only downside is that its expensive when you buy it, you can afford a decent gym for 500$, other than that it's bliss

Just have a squat cage and bench right now. Working on getting bigger dumbbells, I've been using 30s and 40s for the last couple months and I feel like an adjustable set would be nice.

>confirmed for lifting on commercial trash bars

rate my home gym
bench: http://www.newitts.com/product/IT058064/Adidas_Flat_Training_Bench.htm
weights: http://www.sweatband.com/york-140kg-olympic-weight-set.html
squat rack: http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf415-squat-and-dip-rack-with-spotter-catchers.php
only downside is I've got to keep it all outside, covering it with a huge tarp
can't have it in the house as I'm above people
found a rubber mat that's 182 x 121 x 1.7cm
will this be fine for a 7ft barbell? since it's 213cm long I'm worried it won't fit, but the weight plates might (?) land on the mat

Cut it in half and make a large "=" on the floor with it
Man would I love to get my own gym. The only thing I would miss is yoga pants.
>>36469898
You're not that strong. I front squat 185kg on a dhs, and it's fine. It's probably good to at least 600lb
>>36470542
Rack and weight looks fine.
The bench is bad. Max weight is 135kg, unless you never want to bench 1 plate, I would buy something else.
>>36470698
I think it can handle 205kg
and on the SL 5x5 site it says the max load is 600lb, 270kg

Sorry but I'm not a retard autist who can't go out into the world and workout at a gym like normal people.
