Too poor and until recently I didn't have a way to get there. BJJ is high up on my priority list though. I hope to find a gym and start within the year. No point in being strong if you can't back it up with skills.
I already did for a couple of years. It was fun when I had the time and although I'm rusty you never forget the basics so it was worth it for that...
I just don't have the time or money right now. I'd love to get back into it and learn BJJ too but between work, lifting and drinking away my sorrows it's too much.

Both are great choices, it just depends on whether you'd rather learn groundwork or striking first. They're both quite quickly picked up too which is a bonus.

Also define better, both are extremely useful, just in different situations. MMA is literally just both, it will however be a massive commitment and difficulty to a beginner.

Well from my experiance street fights usualy end up on the ground or in real close contact if you don get ko in first few sec
But i think it all comes down to what you like more
