Plot is basically kid is bullied at school for being a weak pussy, world class boxer schools the bullies and inspires protag. Boxer takes him to his gym to start training. He then does whatever it takes to make it, and makes tons of friends and has bitches miring along the way.
Fantastic for the first 130 episodes or so, then the animation quality dips and you can tell it's no longer hand drawn. Still a fantastic series that has a good conclusion point and still gets updates every once in a while.

It's pretty accurate for a boxer since you have to bulk and cut in a few months between matches and it makes alot more sense to just dehydrate yourself just before the match. The heavier you are, the harder you punch and since fighters have very low bf%(cause constant cardio), they need to either lose water weight or muscle mass in order to fit the lower weight class where they'd have better advantage.
