I wear gloves with dumbells because they're thinner and tend to dig into my hands but I just go with chalk when I'm deadlifting because the bar is wide enough that it doesn't hurt.
Yes, certainly. When I'm biking and it's not summer, or any time it's some combination windy, rainy, or cold and I'm outside. They're softshell types with conductive finger tips.
Sometimes in the winter when I'm on the computer I wear these forearm warmer things, they just have one opening for all four of the fingers. Very good for keeping my hands warm without making me lose finger dexterity.
I also wear big rubber ones when washing the dishes.
And of course I have nitrile ones for working in the garden.
