And I wouldn't really call it a sport, but paintball's a shitload of fun and fitness def helps.

I started bowling three years ago. It's not the most athletic sport but it's a great way to meet new people and it's one of those you can do all your life regardless of age.
>>
>>36447098
let me clarify, 10 pin bowling, fuck 5 pin and candlepin

Can someone tell me if this is a good idea?

>5'10" 165 ottermode
>transferring to new uni in fall
>want to make friends
>not joining a frat
>school has rugby team no prior experience necessary

Rugby seems like a fun manly man sport and a good way to make bros who will also be down to go hunt some tight slizz, but I'm wondering if I'm going to get my shit pushed in with my stats. I'm decently athletic, I do jiu jitsu and lift but I've never done a team sport before.

Pls help thx
>>

Tennis, I play on a full ride scholarship for it at a D-1 uni
>>

Rugby League, it's fucken sweet
>>
>>36447461

It's probably going to be pretty softcore overall. This an American Uni right? I mean I doubt they're going to take it too seriously.

Same here in the UK. The worst thing about being in a rugby soc is the fucking blatant homo hazing and relentless binge drinking.

Our rubgy soc was basically shit players being the most intensely obnoxious cunts on sports soc nights and spending most of their time 'hazing' aka 'buttfucking' for bantz.

No you don't. Filtered :^)

Ultimate Frisbee.

Top sport.
>>
>>36446974
Football
>>
I'm not really serious about any of these. I enjoy them for health and relaxation, but I'm not gonna compete in any of them:

Mixed martial arts (this is the only one my king-of-manlets body with its thick stubby limbs is actually good for, I can get locks on guys a full weight class ahead of me, and I'm not even in fighting trim.)
Half marathons.
Climbing.
Swimming.

I also commute by bike, but it's a Dutch city bike, nothing like a road racing bike at all.

I also enjoy lifting, but I don't train for any of the barbell sports.

Indeed, I'm 5'11 that's fit's official king of manlet height.

I was 172 when I was fat. I dropped to 152 this year. Feels good

I'm 5"10 on the dot. I think it's a comfy height
>>

Hockey in the winter.
Beach Volleyball in the summer.
>>
>>36448412
I'm thinking of going to 160.
I've been 152 but our 152 is coming back from an injury and he gets my spot. So it's either always be in his shadow or go 160

Haha. Our gym is full of little manlet wrestlers running around. In fact, that is our specialty.
>>
>>36447137
same bro, you play college ball? I'm gonna be playing next year. The coach at my uni asked me to play for the team, because I would always play pickup ball.
>>
>>36448469
Wrestling anyone above 6"0 is often simple. Go for the legs. I've never lost to anyone above 6"2
>>
I suck at every sport, I've been non-athletic since I was a kid. My friends don't play sports at all, my cousins have been playing forever. My friends won't play with me cause they suck, my cousins wont play with me because I suck.

I want to play basketball, what do I do?

State wrestler at 182 and 170 reporting in. Anyone else here a thrower? Nothing like tossing someone to their back and getting a pin out of it.

Real grappling starts on the ground

There are many methods of grappling with a higher posture that I don't think get taught to well in regular wrestling due to all the manlets.

Pic related, state champ.

I also used blood chokes while pinning people to make them fight it less
>>
>>36448754
Side choke or N/S?
>>
>>36448752
I'm a wrestler who's thinking about trying out bjj. Pls explain
>>
>>36448774
Depends on situation, but usually when I threw it was perfect positioning to use a side choke. Usually I'd just transition into North/South out of a half Nelson if it was there.
>>
>>36448782
The guard is a general term for fighting off of your back where you still have at least some space (usually legs) between you and your opponent.

This ridiculous picture is the inverted guard:
>>36448684

Here you can see too people fighting each other from guard:
>>36448469

It is extremely difficult to get past a good person's guard. A lot of BJJ people opt to pull guard, rather than fight off their feet.
>>
>>36448478

I played at a juco for a season but I never made the next jump. Thats the negative about going to a large SEC school desu. Regardless I got burned out on competitive play. If you can do it tho, go for it senpai. You'll never regret it.
>>
>>36448443
In my experience 160 is a difficult weight class. I see it as the transition between the very athletic type and the heavier bulkier type, namely people with some fat on their body. But i say go for it, when i was in the 152 weight class i would occasionally be bumped up to 160 and i did pretty well.
>>
Ice hockey (goalie, played senior AAA when I was 18 and 19, now I just play in a beer league lol)
Soccer (left fullback, played varsity, now I play in a reasonably competitive regional league)

>>36447137
