I've lived in Europe for a few years, as an American, so I understand most of the world.doesn't tip. I've always been against tipping but there is something I'd be lying about if I say I didn't notice it: Hospitality, comfort, speediness, attention - they are all WAY better in American restaraunts as opposed to European restaurants. No question.
Your servers get money no matter what. Our servers need to actually do the job right in order to get paid. It's not even a competition - ours blows yours out of the water. Been to thousands in America, been to hundreds in Europe - it's an easy call.
Also, not all states pay servers under minimum wage so they to live off tips. But most of them do. And guess what? Those states have shittier service as well, lol

Tipping at pf is what I do. The receptionist anyways takes care of me, saving me two or three prime slices on pizza day, untouched bagels on bagel day plus she's my crush. Once I'm down to 30bmi I'm asking her out.

There's no cameras where the chalk dispenser is, so maybe once a month or so I sneak a baggie of flour into the gym and empty it on top of the chalk. The next person to get try and get chalk basically has their hands covered in claggy glue once their hands start to sweat.
As well as being gross, it also makes them unable to grip stuff properly since it turns into a paste, so I've seen people forced drop the bar midway through a set.

We do often tip in Europe but it's a lot less. Tipping is not an Amerifat invention, but you ding bats decided that because of tips you pretty much didn't have to pay servers a reasonable wage. So you now have a situation where you pay for the food and employ servers on an ad hoc basis through tips.
We also don't tip for fast food unless delivered, tho coffee shops and similar traditionally have tip jars. Most places also tip their binmen at Christmas.

well my gym doesn't really have a true receptionist so i can't relate, that's why i asked. i generally just walk in and one or two of the trainers are usually sitting at the desk eating/talking and i go straight to the weights.
mind you, i go to my university gym so it's kind of different. we also don't have to show them our cards or anything which i know other schools make you do.
