Tren, mast, aromasin, 5mg lithium orotate, and a dopamine agonist of your choice. Benzos optional.
>>
>highs and lows

really goes away when you get older. it all kind of blends together into one massie "meh." periodically someone dies, or your sports team wins something, or you find/lose love and a brief spike in either direction comes along... but mostly its just cruise control.

lifting is just one of the things you do at that point.
>>
I might sound like a complete faggot but I am reminded that there really are so many women in this world and that a majority of them believe in fitness and are good looking and that if I just keep making gains both physically and financially, my path will cross with another and it will be everything I've ever worked for. Until then, I just drink a lot and watch porn

The fuck are you on about?

I'm 31. I work 55-70 hours per week.

I have a family.

I lift because I enjoy it. It makes my life better. So I get up early and do it.

Time to grow the fuck up before you die of old age at 26.

i dunno im 30, i never needed motivation

heres my thought process:

>what needs to be done?
>this, this, this
>ok, it must be done. so do it.

and then it gets done. there is no 'i dont wanna' that shits for children. now... sometimes things that aren't in the 'must' be done category i might i-dont-wanna out of, but if it falls in the 'must' column, its getting done.

>dating

>job
with lifting, it needs to be an absolute must. there've been times where I have very little freetime but i've long since planned around going to the gym because its a must for me.

26, transitioned from NEET to 9-5 salarycuck, which was a pretty jarring transition.

Losing the vast majority of my free time and realizing how few waking hours I have to myself was devastating. But after forcing myself into a routine (wake up at 5 to get in 90 minutes at the gym before work) and living with it for a couple of weeks, I'm all right with that. I still maintain most of my hobbies, and I've still got weekends all to myself.

desu you just get used to it.

Turning 26 in a month. Getting older is actually really motivating. I know my youth is almost up, and if I don't bust my ass RIGHT FUCKING NOW I'll never amount to anything. You don't feel the crunch when you're in your early 20s.
>>
>>36439348
same here, except im 34. i really look forward to lifting each morning - ever since its become my routine i can seriously handle ANYTHING. i used to get stressed over the tiniest fucking things, but lifting in the morning killed all of that. not only do i feel like a new person, i look like one too.

seriously guys, if going to the gym is a pain in the ass and you need motivation to do it, then you're never going to make it. it should feel like fucking christmas morning when you wake up and head out.

>>
>>36439332

desu this is actually pretty accurate to what I've experienced.

As you get older and experience more shit tends to hit you less hard, everything becomes either nice or just unfortunate.

Your life becomes a series of habits and actions you spend your time doing and people come and go and bad things happen and good things happen but overall your life just keeps going either way. You stick with the habits that build up to create your day to day life.

Lifting is just a foundational part of life and not something I even think about "losing motivation" for, it's just something I do.

Just take the pressure off yourself with lifting and enjoy it. You don't have to hit a PR every week anon, some days we are weak and some we are strong. But going to the gym and lifting regardless of if your always at your best is most important imo.

For me lifting has just become an integral part of my whole lifestyle. Lifting has blended very naturally into the other routines that I build my day-to-day life around. In my personal schedule going to gym has it's natural spot in relation other reasons I go out and about. Also eating in a lifter friendly way and making sure I get enough rest are part of the whole thing. If I for whatever reason stopped lifting altogether I'd probably change many other parts of my life too.

These sorts of routines help overcome ups and downs. It's more like going to gym keeps me on track instead of it being a burden .

tl;dr I don't need to keep myself motivated, it's just what I do

fitness is a break from everyday shit everyone can understand. gf, family, coworkers. no one gives me shit if i didnt take a call or if i cant be somewhere because i have fit shit to do.
love it.

>>36440863
This for me as well. Motivation became discipline which became habit.

You have to love it or you'll eventually hate it. I look forward to my days off when I can go, It's became a central part of my whole existence. I thoroughly enjoy every single minute nuance of it, I take pleasure in knowing that every single second I put into it there's returns. As my body improves so does my mental state somehow, it's empowering yet devouring at the same time. Best believe there's some days we all don't want to go. Get caffeinated up and go wether you want to or not, motivation fades. Displine doesn't.

>>
>>36440872
Seriously this. Strength of body, sharpness of mind, and interest in life is something you can maintain well into even your 80s. People who say "life is downhill after 20. If only my body could be young again." really mean "my life went downhill after I left my parent's supervision and, due to having no discipline of my own, wound up picking up a ton of bad habits that over time wrecked my body and mind. I wish I was living under my parent's supervision again"
>>
15 years in a shit 9-5 job shuffling papers was killing me. Nothing to look forward to but stress, no motivation, no care. 15 fucking years of a shit job left until I can make nothing in retirement. I said fuck it and am going to be a State Trooper, so there is my motivation to get off my old ass and hit the gym hard. I'm enjoying life again with a goal. The daily grind of a shit job killed any motivation I had though.

I'm 34, almost 35, and I'd slap you for this
I've improved my lifestyle and made so much gains in the last ~4 years I'm not even remotely comparable to the babby I were at 20-something
I even date the 20-something grills I didn't date more than 10 years ago (work in uni so it's pretty easy to get fresh meat)
Two kids with two ladies (never got married, so I'm not jewed out with alimony - actually the second lady is a still a 29 yo fuckbuddy, I've always been honest with both of them and I've pretty good relationships with both of them)
There's always time to work out, I wake up one hour and half earlier on train days and I just start my day with the gym - where's the problem? I expect a teen to warrant a "motivation" in order to fix his shit, not a young men

The ride never ends, but for men I'd say the real game actually start way later than "25". Only women should somewhat worry when they reach +28 w/o a ring on it

I'm 29, and I love lifting almost as much as I love being my own boss. I don't need to be motivated in the gym. Aging is nothing. I feel like the older I am the more discipline and focus I can actually bring. I'm a much sicker cunt today than I was in my listless and shitty 20s.

I think attitude is key at this stage, be optimistic but realistic, accept that shit needs to get done and get on with doing it, never stop learning and you probably will feel great into your 40's and beyond.

If you are still blaming others, making excuses and generally have a defeatist, negative attitude - you better sort it soon before it really is too late.

Also, don't be tricked into thinking that by a certain age, life should be a certain way...it's hard as TV, movies and other people keep reinforcing this opinion.

Try having a hernia at 27, followed by five years of failed physio (on and off, starting each time you hurt your back again).

Then I discovered SS. Got stonger. Result: no more back pain.

Starting stats:
Sq: 40kg
Dead: 60kg
Bench: 35kg
OHP: 20kg

Fuck i was weak. Still not strong. But hey, that never was the goal.

Current stats:
Sq: 80
Dead: 100
Bench: 57,5
OHP: 35

Finally achieved 7 consecutive pullups.

Last year I ran a obstacle course / race: 19km, 45 obsacles. Accomplishing that was motivating as fuck.

O, yeah: fuck aestetics. Not for me. Main goal: have a pain free life and carry / play with the kids.

Sauce: oldfag @ 35. Former runner (that shit kills your back).

Keep working out kids!

25 in a couple of months so I guess I can relate.

This is NOT the age where you feel old.

I feel like I shed my bubble of procrastination regarding physical activity and I keep my gym schedules all the time.

Dating should be considered to find someone you like to spend time with. You can get the occasional pussy if it doesn't work out but at this point, it is mostly pointless.

Job can steal your soul and life away, if you let it. And IF you manage to find one. (my country is pretty low on those these days) Have other things to do as well.

Highs and lows are extreme in your early years of life i e teenage years and reduce later on.

Trouble is, I only 'discovered' how good lifting only a year ago. So I'm a DYEL late bloomer but I'm gonna keep on going.
The natty limit can be reached in like 5 years however so I'm not bothered by it too much. I won't give up this lifestyle because it helps. It just does.
>>
33, havent worked out in years. went to the gym today, laughed to myself at people with bad form, marveled at the newest AMT machine, pumped way more weight despite being old and fat than some dudes who look like they're regulars, and then fucked my hot, high-earning girlfriend who goes to the gym 5 days a week. yes, somehow i managed that.

This is so fucking true. Lifting here plays the biggest role to me but you can apply this to everything else in your life.

There is no " should i go today or stay at home?". You just fucking do it. You dont choose to stay at home, it is your OBLIGATION to go to the gym. It is what you desire deeeep down in your heart.
So just pack your stuff and head to the gym, and thats it. THATS FUCKING IT.

26, 7 years training every week.

My motivation is the spinal degradation I have, keep the muscles strong, keep the positive stress on my spine, and I stay mobile and fit.

I have a crippled scapula and my shoulders used to be so fucked that they would pop out of socket when I was trying to lift heavy. Now I can do one arm handstands and all sorts of fun handbalancing without any trouble.

Training keeps me, Me. Young, healthy, capable despite injuries.

I also like to smoke marijuana, so long distance running keeps my lungs in a balance between 100% healthy and burnt out from smoke. It's not optimal, but life is about sacrifices in some areas to the benefit of others.

I'm a married man, and a father, so I want to be good looking for my wife and youthful for my son.

It helps that physical culture is my passion. It's so much more than "Bro, it's just lifting weights". Thousands of years of human culture is steeped in physical lifestyles, sports, and training. It's a wonderful world.

I'm 24 and I have never been happier
I have a job, a promising study, get laid regularly and make great gains

I feel more energized and alive than I did during all my teens combined

Life is great desu

>28, engaged
I know it's probably somewhat common on/fit/, but I am in the army (US). It does get tiring waking up early, doing PT, and then lifting. I lift during my lunch break so as to not take time out of my day after work.

When it's gym time, I just go into /robot/ mode until I am there. No matter how I feel, tired or hungry or just lazy, I zone out until I reach gym. Then once I am there most of that bullshit goes away. Maybe it's discipline, or a skill learned from having a retarded job where random pricks can be pricklish and I can't say/do anything back without severe consequences. But at least I still do it.

That's a good work ethic, Anon. You should feel pride in your ability to get shit done.

>Theres a study that people who laim to work 55-65 hrs actually work 44hrs on average

yeah, no one works those hours. you'd be dead with in 2 weeks
people will cite that one time when they worked 49hrs for 2 days straight, and extrapolate from there

did ONE 60 hour week last summer, mostly standing up, doing stuff with my hands

totally recked me. I didn't have time for anything but lift, eat work, sleep. All of those were mediocre

This, taking care of yourself is the essence of it.
I've let myself go after high school, became a NEET, depression got worse, inactive, felt dumber, et cetera. I slowly got back on track and now at 25 I feel better than ever, there's more things to manage in life now but it's all doable.
Three years ago, I've talked to an old WWII recon pilot at an oldtimer airshow. He had amazing stories to tell about that time, but what impressed me the most was how sharp he still was mentally. After the war he trained pilots and worked with younger people all his life, and he said it kept him young.

30 and older has been straight up the best times of my life. true control over myself, my job and women have made each and every day as good an experience as i make it.

peers in their late 20-30's vary so widely in life conditions, that HE who is sacrificing sleep to be good in all aspects of life, reaps 5x the reward

Never felt better desu senpai. Only downside is my receding hairline but whatever, I'll just spend some money on hair transplants in a few years.

the secret is that lifting provides me with motivation

Thats why happiness as a measure is bullshit.
At 60 you dont have any more goals. Basically youre winding your life down and gettin ready for senility and death
Of course youre happiest, you no longer have standards
>>
>>36444424
Thats an average of 10 hours a day.
How is that insane? Bankers, chefs and taxi drivers often work more than that
>>
>>36440797
Same for me.
Im married too but she isnt ugly and fat, just slightly above average but she lifts.
Also cruising test. Best decision ever made was to hop on gear. Life doesnt get easier when youre older

Will be 27 in a couple of months, used to be a lazy piece of shit that works from 9-5 and does nothing else until recently. Just heavily depressed for a good five-six years.
Only passion has been travelling so I did that whenever possible, but fuck, it got lonely.

No close friends, no family, still a god-damn virgin but out of blue, a 5/10 approached me at some friends party. Complimented me a lot, made out for hours. This vivid memory is what fuels me now.

Just want people to like me, so for that I'll try to be the very best version of myself. Starting with getting out of skeleton-mode and trying out new hobbies.
